Online Safety

July
13

3H have been looking at how we can stay safe online. We have been thinking about the importance of passwords and how we can create the strongest passwords to protect our information. We created leaflets and booklets to inform others about everything we’ve learnt. We made a list of do’s and don’t’s to help us remember!

DO

  • Make your password 8-10 letters or numbers long
  • Mix it up, and use numbers and letters

DON’T

  • Make it easy to guess (like your name, your pets name)
  • Tell anyone except your trusted adult.

What else do we need to remember when we are creating a password?

Our trip to Tijuana!

July
7
As part of our ‘Sun, Sea and Sombreros’ topic all about Mexico we were invited by the Tijuanas team to learn all about Mexican food, taste many dishes and understand food preparation and hygiene. All of the dishes were freshly prepared on the premises by Francis the chef and the owners Maxine and Ray explained all they knew about Mexican cuisine. Our Year 3 children all got to make their very own tacos by using a special taco machine and they chose their own fillings. We also tried a variety of burritos, nibbled on nachos and freshly made dips. Tijuanas catered for all palettes and preferences as spicy or as mild as the children wanted. We couldn’t have been more looked after! What a FANTASTIC experience for our Year 3 learners. Delicious food and with friendly accommodating staff teaching us all we need to know about Mexican food. Using inspiration from our trip, Year 3 are going to create their own Mexican menus and produce their own dishes to create and taste.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE KIND, TALENTED STAFF AT TIJUANAS AND OUR PARENT HELPERS FOR HELPING WALK THE CHILDREN TO THE VENUE!

What foods did you try?
